I am an active member of, conference reviewer for, and contributor to the Association for Consumer Research, American Marketing Association, Consumer Culture Theory Consortium, and Chicago Consumer Culture Community (C4).
I serve as the American Sociological Association representative on the Journal of Consumer Research Policy Board. I am also a member of the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Consumer Research and Journal of Marketing, and an ad hoc reviewer for the European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Marcromarketing, Journal of Consumer Marketing, and Current Sociology.
I have served as a doctoral student mentor at the Consumer Culture Theory Qualitative Data Analysis Workshops and at the Association for Consumer Research Doctoral Symposium.
I am a past board member for the Consumer Culture Theory Consortium and a past Council Member for the American Sociological Association section on Consumers and Consumption. At Northwestern, I chair the IMC curriculum committee, advise students, and engage in a range of interdisciplinary activities across campus including the Culture and Society Workshop.
